Happy Holidays

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your continued interest in MRI. This year has been filled with very important challenges for the world.  We hope you have been able to stay safe and connected and most importantly, healthy amidst this pandemic.

We are excited to announce that in our 2020 inaugural year of funding activity, MRI has successfully launched its grant making program by supporting several research projects with awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.  These research projects are addressing topics as diverse as investigating the emotional impact of the pandemic on couples, determining the effectiveness of telehealth compared to in-person family therapy, developing and validating a couple’s coping program for same gender couples, and evaluating a bystander intervention for bullying, among others.

The projects funded by MRI this year include researchers from Arizona State University, Boise State University, Florida State University, Ohio University, Texas Tech University, the University of Michigan, the University of Rochester, and a California nonprofit organization, Acknowledge Alliance.

All the projects supported by MRI have in common the fulfillment of our mission:

.…To explore and support the development of innovative interactional, systemic approaches….

Our adventure as a grant making organization is off to an exhilarating start and we are inspired by being part of this extended family of researchers with the goal of understanding and improving human relationships.

From everyone here at MRI, we thank you again for your interest and support.  We look forward to seeing you, working with you, and especially sharing our ongoing endeavors with you.

We wish you a very Happy Holiday season and a peaceful, healthy, and prosperous 2021.

Sincerely,

Sophie Suberville
